REVIEW: Lucidol-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly (Bouncy Wave)

Hellooo! Excited that it is the weekend already. My weekends are now filled with hunting for home furniture & decor and of course having fun with makeup (which means creating tutorials). How awesome right? What are your weekend plans? Here’s a hair product review for your viewing pleasure..

Have you tried this product?

Product & Packaging

I love having long hair. It took me about 3 years to actually achieve this hair length. I can’t comprehend the growth of my hair seriously. Slower than a snail’s pace. Unbelievable!

Contains 200ml of product. Does not come in any box packaging, sold as a standalone product. What you see is what you get. I like how it comes in a bottle with a pump which I find easier to control with product usage. The bottle packaging is orange in color and has a simple fun design to it. Honestly, I only looked in that direction coz’ of the color. Not that I like orange but I just get attracted to loud colors.

The only thing about this sort of pump is that you may experience some leakage when you take it with you on a holiday. There is no clip lock/ button lock to prevent leakage.

I am really loving this product as it lasted me for approx. 9 hours; my usual working hours without it looking dried out/spoilt looking and my hair was just the way I looked when I walked out the door. Hair sprays and hair waxes makes hair look like hay and tend to be almost straight by the time I get home. There’s no feel sticky feeling and has a slight glossy finish to it. The curls do look natural. My hair usually becomes flat after  2 to 3 hours without any hair spray/wax.

First pump. Oh gawd! What kinda of smell is that?!? It was a little bit funky but after a while I found the smell quite refreshing! It’s a floral scent. Just needed a while to adjust to a new scent. I use 2 full pumps on a daily basis. I usually curl my hair with a hair thong followed by this product. BTW, my white Babyliss Pro curler ain’t that great after all. The white color is peeling off! I just bought it not too long ago seen in my haul here. White just looks nice.

Lucidol-L has other hair products available.

A Japanese brand but made in China. It contains Panthenol; an emollient that contains the moisture component. In short, it is great for your hair. Stated that it is a water-based formulation. I would say this is a medium to high quality product. It helps moisturize and maintain the bouncy waves for a long period of time.

One pump on the palm

Very affordable. Retailing only at RM18.90 [USD$5.90]. Some hair sprays/ gels/ styling mousse costs more than this and does not do the job! I’m glad it’s RM18.90. I’m definitely going to be buying this again once I run out of this.

Place of Purchase

Guardian Drugstore/ Pharmacy. That’s the only place I’ve seen it so far.

Check out those curls in my previous Valentine’s tutorial.

And those curls again in another Valentine’s tutorial.

I hope you have enjoyed the review. If this review made you purchased and try it, do let me know how it has worked out for you. If it did, I’ll prolly do a victory dance coz it just feels so good sharing good stuff with y’all. Have a great weekend ahead! Till then, Toodles!
