REVIEW & SWATCH: BH Cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Matte Palette

If you’ve read my previous haul post, i’ve purchased two palettes a while ago and have taken the time to play around the shadows, tested each every color in terms of their pigmentation and texture and had alot of fun creating looks that are yet to be posted up. I will be reviewing the palettes individually starting off with the 88 Color Tropical Matte Palette followed by the 120 color palette third edition.

88 Color Tropical Matte Palette

I usually like to take product pictures in the morning where the light is good enough to show the true color of the eyeshadows but somehow this time you can see the shadows from the window grills. Hmm, looks like it’s time to brush up on muh’ photography skills.

As you can see from the picture, the colors are pretty much wearable as an everyday look. A little bit of bright colors to play around with to add a pop of color to your face. I find that not all colors were pigmented. Some of them were very chalky and sheer whilst some feel really silky with good color payoff. The palette is light and easy to hold with quite a sturdy packaging. But of course, don’t drop it from your vanity table! I foresee that the plastic can crack easily.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk was used as a base for all the swatches. The swatches starts from the left to the right of the palette and in each row, the colors seen on the arm from the right  (top of the palette) to the left (bottom of the palette).

This palette Is great for those who love neutral colors and not so big on the bright colors as this palette offers the best of both worlds. Even the bright colors are very subtle and suitable for every skin tone. These swatches were made with love and loads of effort. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as i enjoyed the whole process of testing out the colors and making the swatches for you.

Overall, the color payoff for most colors are good.  The only downside to it is that it is a product of China which i do worry about the quality and ingredients sometimes. However, my opinion shouldn’t affect your final decision. I’m just very particular of the country of origin of beauty products as my skin deserves the best! Agree?

At its normal price, it is very affordable but I’d rather wait for a sale ! Why pay more when you can pay less right?

Will i buy it again:

Hmmm, maybe.
