REVIEW: Too Faced Sweet Indulgence Holiday Palette 2012

Hellooo muh’ lovlies! How has your week been so far? It’s the last month of the year already, have you thought about your new year resolutions yet? I haven’t and I’m thinking if I should coz’ I didn’t really achieve last year’s new year resolution *geez*. Oh well, here’s another palette review for your viewing pleasure; The Too Faced Sweet Indulgence Palette.

Product & Packaging

This set comes in a soft metal/ tin like box which I do find it a tad bit flimsy. If you pack it in between your clothes and with rough handling of baggage, I reckon it will get a slight dent somewhere. When opened, 2 palettes are stacked on top of one another fitting perfectly in the box. I like how this set has a combination of face and eye items; consisting of its best sellers and must-have eyeshadows of shimmer, matte and pearlescent finishes. Only 2 colors are matte (Bummer!). It even has its eye primer which I have been dying to try but figured I should just finish what I have first. So, I was pretty much ecstatic to see that this set comes with a FULL SIZE primer as the primer on its own is already USD$18.00 [RM65.00].

Contains 16 x 0.06 oz Eye Shadows which the color selection allows you to create looks of sorts for any season or day/night looks. 2 blushes, 2 bronzers and a highlighter, dual ended brush and shadow insurance eyeshadow primer. The face palette suits fair to medium skin tone better. With all that included in the set, you can even take it on holidays with you. All you need to bring is a foundation (if you do use) and a few brushes! I reckon the set is a tad bit bulky for traveling tho’.

Love the prints on the box

I like how most of their palettes contains the “get-the-look” tutorial cards. It helps out beginners/ new to make up in creating simple looks with the palette.

The usual good quality you get from Too Faced Cosmetics. I had a problem with the eyeshadow color “Peach Fuzz” due to the quite-chunky glitter fall out you get from it and not as pigmented. Other than that, the rest of the colors had great color pay off, pigmentation, silky and soft. For the eyeshadows, blushers and bronzers, it blends easily onto skin. Not chalky or overpowering.  The only thing about the blusher and bronzers, I’d prefer it matte instead of the shimmery texture. The highlight is awesome, very silky and velvety that gives a great beam when applied to the area. Can even be used on the inner tear duct.

Eyeshadow palette

My fav. colors are Cherry Cola, Copper Peony, Lovey Dovey, In The Buff, Malted Milk Ball, Gum Drop, Teddy Bear, Honeymoon  and Black Sugar. Teddy Bear is such an awesome blending color.

Retailing for RM189.00 [USD$59.06] at Sephora, Malaysia and in Sephora, USA, it retails for USD$52.00. It’s worth it!

Place of Purchase

I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and so I got mine from Sephora, Malaysia (Paradigm Mall); the place where I had an unpleasant shopping experience so yeah it’s prolly my last time in that outlet. For those residing in USA, you may purchase it online/store from Sephora and for the rest of the world, try clicking here if you do not have Urban Decay or Sephora in your country. I turn to ebay/amazon whenever a particular product is not sold in in KL, Malaysia.

Overall, I really like the set. I’ve used it on several occasions now and have found nothing to complain about. No adverse or allergic reactions experienced. This palette makes an awesome gift I tell ya! So for those who don’t know what to buy for your makeup junkie friends, get em’ this set. It looks so pretty and it functions well.  It’s a limited edition set for the holiday season 2012. So, quickly grab yours while it’s still available.

I bought mine as an early Christmas present to myself. You must think I’m crazy to have purchased quite a few eyeshadow palettes over the few months. It’s not like I have many pairs of eyes to enjoy that many colors right?. It’s just so hard to stay away from eyeshadow palettes. Trust me, I’ve tried. But, failed! Time to join makeupholics anonymous *giggles*. Is there even such a group? Stay tune for my upcoming tutorials using this palette. Till then, Toodles!
