TUTORIAL: Neutral + Turquoise

Hello muh’ lovelies! We’re already into mid March and I do hope this month has been nothing but an awesome one for you. It’s gonna be a busy and exciting next few months for me; juggling between work, preparing for a new home, buying furniture, putting color schemes and furniture pieces together to have a wonderful looking so-called Scandinavian looking home (*fingers cross* everything turns out well), designing my makeup room (yes! I’m super excited about having a makeup room where tutorials are made and everything rainbow and sunshine going on in that room), packing and whatever you need to do to shift into a new home. I’m already dreading the part where I have to pack my clothes and makeup. I don’t even know where to start.

Let’s start with the tutorial!

Love the sun shining right into my face, such a wonderful afternoon!

Step 1: EYES

Urban Decay Primer Potion – Apply all over lid including the eyebrow

Eyebrows – Use an angle liner brush to apply and fill in the brows. I used the brown eyeshadow from the palette as seen below.

Any regular matte dark brown eyeshadow will do

UD 24/7 Concealer, “NSA” – To conceal those dark circles

YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch – Apply under the eye to brighten up under the eye area. Alternatively, you may use a concealer one shade lighter than you skin color.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, “Foxy” – Apply all over lid

MAC Eyeshadow, “Cork” – Apply onto crease

MAC Eyeshadow, “Soft Brown” – Blend out crease

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, “Foxy” – Apply onto brow bone

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, “Zero” – Tightline and apply onto the lower lash line.

Stila Smudge Stick, “Damsel” – Apply onto lower lash line

Stila In The Light Palette, “Brown” – Smudge out the brown liner applied earlier on

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner, “Black” – Draw the liner according to your eye shape.

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner, “Turquoise Blue” – Draw a winged liner on top of the black liner

tute24_2When blinking eyes, teal is seen but when open just the usual natural look you get

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, “shimmer pink” – Apply onto inner tear duct and half of the lower lash line

Step 2: FACE

Garnier Skin Natural B.B Cream – Apply all over the face

MAC Mineralized Skinfinish, “Natural” – Dust all over face to set the foundation. Looks like it’s time to explore other brands of setting powders. I’ve been using this one like forever.

I love how that one teal line freshens the whole look

Step 3: CHEEKS

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – Contour those cheeks

Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush, “Peachy Sweetie” – Apply onto the apples of the cheeks

Color of the lipstick here looks washed out. It’s the best pic I have of my lips *sigh*

It’s actually a darker color. The name of the lipstick already describes the color. So Imagine Mauve on my lips okay.

Step 4: LIPS

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick, “Mauve” – Apply all over lips

MAC Lipglass, “Emancipation” – Apply on top of the lipstick

Apply falsies. I didn’t apply any for this look. Also, if you don’t fancy teal eyeliner, you can substitute the color with any color of your choice. I reckon pastel yellow and hot pink would be just as good.

Brushes I Used:

Mostly Sigma brushes and a few from some of my shopping sprees in various countries. The list below is in random order of usage.

I have to say that the color turquoise is really growing on me. I hope I don’t have to say goodbye to my current favorite color; pink. It’s funny how my favorite color changes every now and then. I’m pretty sure purple is angry I broke off the friendship. Till then, Toodles!
