A look created with the new Sleek palette from my London haul; Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette! Perfect for the Summer season; that’s if you’re bold enough to wear colors out of your comfort zone. I’m not as adventurous just yet; so this is just for tutorial purposes and for fun.
STEP 1: Eyes
MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer – Apply from lid to brow
Maybelline Super Stay 24H Concealer, “Light/ Beige 2″ – Apply where dark circles are visible, mostly under the eye area. May apply onto any redness seen around the nose area
YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch – Apply under the eye to brighten up under the eye area
Matte brown eyeshadow – Apply onto eyebrows. Color used in the tutorial shown below:
Sephora Limited Edition Pop Up Palette
NYX JEP, “Milk” – Apply all over lid and waterline. I usually use this as a canvas when applying bright colors. Doing so simply makes the colors more vibrant and true to its color
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette, “Pout” – Apply all over lid
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette, “Floss” – Apply onto outer crease and blend out the color “Pout”
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette, “Bamm!” – Apply onto the inner tear duct
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette, “Bolt” – Apply onto lower lashline
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 Palette, “Pow!” – Highlight brow and apply onto waterline
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, “Perversion” – Tightline
Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner – Draw a winged effect eyeliner or however you usually draw your liner
STEP 2: Face
Optional: Apply moisturizer prior to make up application
NYX Pore Filler – Apply all over face
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation, “Nude” – Apply all over face either with your fingers (that’s if you’re comfy using your fingers) or a brush. I use the Sigma’s F80 flat top kabuki brush.
MAC Mineralized Skinfinish, “Natural” – Dust all over face to set the foundation
MAC Limited Edition Prolong Wear, “Sun Dipped” – Contour nose and blend
Pearlmatte Face Powder, “Veronica’s Blush” – Highlight the highest points of the face
STEP 3: Cheeks
MAC Limited Edition Prolong Wear, “Sun Dipped” – Contour cheeks, temples and below the jaw
Yes, no blush! I wanted to keep the face simple since there’s a lot of drama is going on in the eye area.
STEP 4: Lips
Kate Moss Collection Lasting Finnish, “113″ – Apply all over lips accordingly
MAC LE Lipgloss, “Emancipation” – Apply on top of lipstick
STEP 5: Optional
If you wish to spice up the look, apply some falsies, rhinestones and some nail design as seen above..
Purple rhinestones – Just for fun! Applied with DUO lash glue.
STEP 6: Hair
Loreal Elnett Satin Heat Protect Styling Spray – Spray all over hair. Recommended to use a product as such to protect hair from being damaged when using those curlers
Curl away with your usual curler!
Lucidol-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly (Bouncy Wave) – Apply and scrunch hair for those long lasting curls!
Brushes I Used:
Mostly Sigma brushes and a few from some of my shopping sprees in various countries. The list below is in random order of usage.
- MAC 236
- Sigma Blending E25
- Sigma Small Angle E65
- Sigma Medium Angled Shading E70
- Unbranded smudge brush
- Color Cosmetics Flat Kabuki Brush
- Sigma Duo Fibre F50
- Sigma Large Powder F30
- Sigma Large Angled Contour F40
It’s odd how my eyeliner looks crooked in the picture. I swear the eyeliner is usually straight and perfect coz’ I’m anal like that. One wonky line and off it goes.
Do share if you have tried the look. Looks like the weekend is coming to an end (for us M’sians and those in the same time zone), so Happy Monday folks! I’m kinda down with the flu so looks like I’m just gonna be curling up under the blanket and resting. Till then, Toodles!
